The night was calm
and mistly clear but by morning the cloud had rolled in. At 5am I
could just see Ennerdale below then a light patter of rain started
to fall. My plan was to walk and climb the short distance to Kirk
Fell but I didn't see the point in doing it in the rain. The weather
forecast was inconclusive so I decided to wait it out for a while
and hoped the cloud would roll away. It didn't and got thicker and
the rain got heavier. All day I kept thinking it may stop in the
next hour, but it didn't. So one more night in the same spot. |
